Domorokdok Festival 2012

Today’s the fiesta of Botolan, aka Domorokdok Festival.

My mom and I met at her office and went to her friend and we had lunch there. I ate a lot despite of my promise to eat less. Look at my plate!

Thereafter, we stayed at her office for hours and finally went to the grand stand to watch the program. There were several BotoleƱos who watched and participated though seats were limited and the weather’s very inconvenient.

Btw before we went to the grand stand, I saw Mang Nestor. He’s the official photographer of SAS. Unluckily, he’s too far for me to ask him to smile.

So there, this is how my day went through.

Ordinary Sunday in Manaoag, Pangasinan

We’re hesitant to go in Manaoag so we left home late and arrived there around 4pm. My mom said that it’s bad to break your promise of going to Manaoag ’cause a bad thing might happen.

There were several church-goers this time but fewer compared to our past visits.

We brought our cross and let it be blessed by the priest.

It was my first time to see a mass car blessings here at Manaoag which I find cool.

After the blessing, we lit up a candle and said a little prayer. We took pictures and went home right away. We travelled for almost 7hours (one way) and stayed there for ony two hours.

Anyway, i’m hoping that all my prayers will be granted. Amen!

Happy Graduation, Bebe!

Last April 12, 2012 was my sister’s graduation. Although her graduation will be at 3pm, we woke up early due to several preparations since she will be also attending their baccalaureate mass at 1pm. We arrived at SBMA around 12:30, ate our lunch at Jollibee and dropped-off my sister to the venue.

While waiting for 3pm, we visited stores around the hotel such as royal and the freeport exchange store also known as traders.

We arrived at the venue on time but the graduation didn’t start at 3pm as usual the school gives an early call time so that the graduates, parents and other guests are there when the program starts.

The graduation was at the traveler’s hotel’s convention hall. The school staff were strictly looking for the ribbon to let a person enter the hall. Luckily, all of us were able to see the program since we used the other entrance without knowing by the school staff. Hihi

The graduation’s boring for me since one of the guest speaker talked senseless points for like 45 mins and when she finished delivering her speech most of the atudents were cheering that finally she’s finished.

The valedictorian had his speech. I was amazed how he did just to study in college. He lives in Romblon but graduated from a school in Subic Bay. I was wondering how he went in Zambales alone without considering Manila first. Anyhow, he worked as a janitor at the school and eventually enrolled and graduated from the criminology department.

Distribution of diplomas comes next. I became a photographer at that time. I went through the barricades just to take a picture of my sister receiving her diploma. One of the staff said I was beyond the space designated for taking pictures and I did not do anything as if I did not hear what he just said. LOL

After the distribution of diplomas the graduates gave a rose to their parents and said thank you. Meanwhile, I was again bored due to the awarding and just played a lot of games from my iphone. Minutes past and poof! It ended! We can eat now and go home.

Oh well, happy graduation to my sister, she’s a graduate of BS Accountancy, she’ll be having her review for 5 months in preparation for the national certified public accountant board examination and we believe that she’ll make it with God’s help!

Get Your Heart On Tour!

It’s our midterms week and we’re supposed to have an exam @ 5pm. However our professor did not show up. It’s a good thing for me since I was able to go to araneta coliseum earlier than 8pm for simple plan’s concert!

My former classmate, Joy, and I met up @ lrt legarda station and went to gateway mall to meet her sister, Judy, and his cousin, Kuya Ian. We ate @ breadtalk before going to the concert.

I thought we’re going to be late since they bought personalized t-shirts and ballers sold at the stairs when the crowd started to cheer and shout. We ran inside the coliseum and poooof! it’s kamikazee who was performing.

I think Simple Plan came out after 30 mins or 1hr and that’s it the whole crowd gone wiiiild! :D

They sang shut up jump thank you id do anything perfect welcome to my life summer paradise jet lag loser of the year alien you suck at love can’t keep my hands off of you the famous astronaut number and a lot more! :D

I was jumping and cheering all the time. I really enjoyed the night. I went home very happy and satisfied. The money used for buying the tix were spent wisely! Thank you joy, judy and kuya ian. Such a happy and remarkable night indeed. As Joy said 10 years of waiting is over and it’s worth the wait.

Happy 2012

So another year passed by, happy new year everyone! :D

This is the first time we never bought fireworks for new year. I don’t know why but I guess the reason’s we’re too lazy to buy since we forgot to buy it when we bought foods for our media noche. Although we didn’t, our nye was great since we had a lot of food and good talks.

Awful and Heartbreaking Story

9 years ago I woke up at around 7pm stood up and jumped out of the bed. I was leaning on the mirror table in my room when I jumped. Blood’s pouring from my hand. A lot of blood. I did not feel anything. My hand was numb. My room was full of blood. I was lying in the floor full of blood and suddenly lost my conciousness for 10mins. Fortunately my family was at home since it’s Rizal day. We went to the hospital the staff there cleaned my hand and put stitches on it. According to them I was lucky since the glass was not able to cut my bones. Btw here’s the scar

I would not forget this day. It was all in my mind.

Nike 6.0

Last week my family and I went to Subic to buy stuffs for noche buena. Thereafter we went to different stores and bought clothes and other things. My sister and I went to Nike outlet store to look for a good pair of shoes. This one caught my attention since its color’s bright and when I hold it it’s lighter compared to others and it’s not too expensive. Soooo! I decided to purchase this one as a Christmas gift for myself paired with my new white Guess watch (how can you pair shoes with a watch lol).

My 2012 Planner

image

While other spend a lot for their planners, me, I never buy planners. Every planner I had in the previous years was given either as a Christmas present or as a free planner from UST Campus Ministry.

Well this year I received one from Jollibee, a fast food chain here in the Philippines, when my family and I spend more than 300 pesos for our meals. I felt happy since this is my first Jollibee planner. The planner is thin. Just right for a law student like me since I’ll have enough space to jot down our assignments or readings and other important matters. It has also space for birthdays, important events and notes. Btw, what I like with this planner is that it listed down the corresponding name or terms for anniversaries (i.e., 50th anniversary = Golden wedding anniversary) as well as different birth stones and convertion table.

So that’s it. When you purchased meals for a total amount of 300 pesos, you’re entitled to one planner. But don’t forget to ask or remind the cashier or crew since sometimes they forget to give it.

Yesterday Once More

I was cleaning, again, during the wee hours and gladly found this floppy disk, which contains Super Mario game, as labeled. This thing can save only a very minimal size of data unlike the USB flash drive and external HD nowadays.

Btw am not 100% sure that this is a floppy disk since as far as I can remember this was called as, uhmm, 3 1/2 disk? Oh well, whatever it was called, I just felt happy when I found this. It reminds me of several memories in grade school :)
